Jordan Taub Studios offers comprehensive, beginner-friendly to advanced stained glass and fused glass classes in North Dallas. Designed specifically for adults with any range of experience in the craft, our courses and studio are perfect for anyone looking for hands-on Dallas art classes where you leave with a finished, tangible piece of art.
Whether you want a fun, one-time weekend experience or you are searching for ongoing craft and hobby classes in DFW to master a new skill, we provide all the professional tools, glass, and instruction you need.
-
Our curriculum is entirely hands-on and available to any skill level.
Instead of watching long lectures, you will be working with glass within your first hour. Depending on which class you choose, you will learn the fundamental techniques of glass artistry:
Stained Glass Techniques: You will learn how to safely score and break glass, shape pieces using an electric glass grinder, wrap edges using the copper foil method, and solder your pieces together into a beautiful, finished suncatcher or panel.
Fused Glass Techniques: You will learn how to cut, arrange, and layer specialized colored glass before we fire it in our studio kiln to melt the pieces into a single, smooth piece of art (like a dish, coaster, or abstract design).
The Studio Environment (Why Small Classes Matter)
When searching for workshops for learning a new art, large warehouse classes can often feel intimidating or overwhelming. That is why our North Dallas home studio caps every class at a maximum of 6 students.
This intentionally small class size guarantees that you get highly personalized, one-on-one guidance from Jordan. You will never feel rushed or left behind, and the cozy, welcoming environment makes it easy to ask questions, meet other local creatives, and safely learn at your own pace.
Choose Your Learning Style
We offer two different ways to learn, depending on your schedule and goals:
One-Time Group Workshops: Perfect for date nights, solo weekend outings, or dipping your toes into the medium. These 2 to 3.5-hour sessions provide a specific project template, and you will walk away with a completed piece of glass art the very same day (or a few days later for kiln-fired fused glass).
Weekly Recurring Classes: Designed for students who want to design their own original patterns and dive deep into the craft. You start with an introductory session to learn the specific safety of our studio and cover the basics. Then from there, you can book flexible, 2-hour open-studio slots available weekly to build larger, custom projects at your own pace.
Important Note: Recurring classes and studio time us available to students of any level once they successfully complete our introductory class. This is to ensure everyone has the same baseline for safety and knowledge of the studio.

Safety first, always! Safety is the number one reason that everyone is required to take our introductory course before proceeding with regular classes in the studio. Working with glass is an incredible medium that almost anyone can learn to do, provided you learn safety first.
Lead Safety Notice
We use lead materials in our stained glass studio. Safety is our priority, and we follow strict safety measures. This does include the use of protective equipment and providing a washing station at the end of all classes.
If you are pregnant, nursing, or have health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before participating in activities at our studio.
This does not apply to fused glass work, but please note that this is a shared space and both glass techniques are used in the studio.
Studio Protocol:
We do ask that you wear close toed shoes into the studio. This is for your own safety. We want you protected from glass debris and hot solder.
If you choose to bring a beverage with you into class, it needs to have a lid or leave drinks outside the studio space.
For questions about our safety practices, feel free to contact us!
